Chapter three: Still, Anaheim, CA 2019 Miss Trinket awoke covered in sand and rocks.A sharp ringing sound stung her ears.WHERE AM I? She thought, Bright lights shimmered in the distance. She tried to stand but her arms were like jelly. She saw Two figures moving towards her. “Help..” she tried to say but her voice cracked…..and then all she saw was darkness .……………………………………………………. “Come on Conner we should call an adult or something!” she said as she poked Miss Trinket with a stick. “Clearly, she is alive.” “ No way! Look at her watch it looks like real gold! I could give it to the Goonies for my laptop! ” Conner squealed. “The watch looks old...in fact everything she is wearing looks old!” Ember replied confused. “Why does that matter?” “Because, Conner, this actually a living breathing person, who just crashed from the stinikin’ SKY!!! And also she isn’t supposed to be in space without a spacesuit!” “Maybe this was a plane that maybe lost control and crashed,” “True,” Ember glanced back at her and she was wearing silk gloves. She pulled one off slowly to examine it and jumped back and screamed when she saw what it was hiding underneath. “C-c-conner, her hands…” Ember stammered her face pale.“What is it now!?” Conner asked “Look,” she motioned her head toward MissTrinket.Under the gloves she was hiding hands of steel. Nuts, wheels and spring worked the hand to act like real ones. “Whoa.” they both said in unison. Conner slightly lifted her sleeve and saw that the metal traveled almost halfway up her arm. “This is getting too weird for my taste! I’m calling the cops and an ambulance.” Ember pulled out her front pocket of her Aaron hoodie started dialing. “Hold Up Hold Up Hold Up, we should check if there are anymore survivors around.” Connor ressoned walking in one direction. “I am going to stay with her until the police arrive.” Ember yelled back at him. “Don’t worry Miss,” she soothed as she slipped the glove back on her arm, “ The police will be here soon.” Miss Trinket’s head slowly moved to the side and she let out a grunt. “Where am I ?” she asked in a husky voice “Don’t worry, Miss help is on the way!” Ember dialed again. “No,no,-(cough)-(choke)-no” Miss Trinket wheezed. “But you need help,” Ember responded. ncncnnd“No, take me to my students!” Miss Trinket gasped, trying to get up. “Your students?” Ember asked, not sure if this woman was delusional, or if she had lost her memory. “But it’s the summer... do you teach summer school?” she asked. “No, I teach a school a regular one, but it is more of a club…..(cough)(hack)...young woman where are we?” Miss Trinket questioned. “Um, Anaheim, California,” Ember said blankly, “How did you cra-” “Oh My goodness! It worked! What year is this?!?!” MissTrinket asked eagerly, as she quickly got up and reached Ember to help her up. “ “It’s 2019,” Ember grunted as she tried to help the woman to get up. “EEEEEE! Quickly,Ducky, take me to a safe location we need to fix this thing!” Miss Trinket squealed. “But, we need to find the23456 orb! Where could it be?” Miss Trinket wobbled around the debris, while Ember looked at her astonished. “AH, here it is!!” Miss Trinket picked up a giant metal orb about as big as a book. When the teacher picked it up the weight was heavy enough to tip her off balance. Miss Trinket stumbled and fell over a lump of sand. “Owwwwwwch!!!” the lump yelped with pain and started moving. “Sally, is that you? Are you alright?!” Miss Trinket asked worried. “I was okay before you landed on top of me!” She grumped, stood up. She looked like she was 16, and was wearing a Plad long sleeve shirt and what looked like Charlie denim Capri pants, her blonde curls looked like they came out of a Shirley Temple movie, and had a bright red bandana tied around her head. “Teach, who is this little one?” she asked as she spotted Ember. “She is the one you was here when we crashed,” Miss Trinket stated a-matter-a-factly.”What is your name?”she asked kindly. Ember, who was in shock managed to mumble,”Ember, my name is Ember.”
